The Directors

Island Kids Academy is owned and operated by a group of energetic, educated women who recognize the valuable service that quality child care can provide to families with young children.

Marcia, Badi’ih and Lisa met while completing their Bachelors Degree in Child and Youth Care at the University of Victoria, and collectively they have extensive and diverse experience in the fields of child care, family support and youth and family counseling.

All three directors are working moms, and have  watched their own children benefit from high quality childcare.  They firmly believe in providing an enriching experience for children while giving an invaluable support for working families.

The Educators

At Island Kids Academy, our staff are highly qualified professionals with their license in Early Childhood Education and/or other related training. If you would like information on working for us, click here. 

We offer a 1 to 4 ratio in the infant/toddler rooms and a 1 to 8 ratio in the pre-school rooms.

Each program is lead by a dynamic supervisor that works along side their incredible team ensuring that each child is having a positive, nurturing and enriching experience on a daily basis. There is also a manager located at each of the three centres. These managers have been a part of the Island Kids Academy team for many years and exemplify the very essence of the standard of care that Island Kids Academy continually upholds.
